Best 15 Cross Stitch Pattern Stores On Etsy

Spread the love

Etsy is a great online forum for finding many different types of arts and crafts products. If you’re a cross stitcher, you should take a look at the Etsy shops of certain designers because there’s some amazing patterns to find there!

However, you don’t want to just grab any old pattern that looks good. Not every person who sells on Etsy is reputable or good at customer service. Buying a pattern and then realizing that the stitching design is flawed is not good.

The following Etsy Cross Stitch Pattern store have either very high ratings on Etsy, have presented their work at the Nashville Needlework Market, or I’ve personally stitched something from them and can verify great customer service and a quality pattern.

Gecko Rouge

Gecko Rouge is one of my favorite online Etsy stores. They are based in the UK and have quite a few highly colorful and unique cross stitch designs that I’ve been looking at for years.

I have purchased 3 designs from them and think that the quality is outstanding. Their customer service has also been excellent when I was having an issue with floss.

The vast majority of the products on their site are full kits. That means that the price includes the physical pattern printed out for you along with all the materials you need to stitch it (floss and fabric included).

The advantage of buying a kit like this is that you will be given everything you need to do the pattern. If you live in a location where you can’t easily purchase cross stitching supplies, this may be beneficial and attractive to you.

However, it also raises the upfront cost of purchasing a product from them. You also can’t easily get replacement floss without contacting them directly. To prevent copyright infringement, the folks at Gecko Rouge don’t publish the DMC color numbers with their patterns.

If these negatives don’t bother you, then I highly recommend checking out their fun and vibrant cross stitch patterns.

Heartstring Samplery

Heartstring Samplery has a large collection of original cross stitch designs as well as over 10,000 sales on Etsy since its inception.

Like their name suggests, many of their designs are samplers.

As you can see with the picture above, they offer a customized Birth announcement sampler pattern that is unique in the cross stitching world.

However, that’s just the beginning. There’s almost 600 separate designs on this list, and I’ve purchased a few in the past. I can tell you that their customer service is fantastic and they are very trust-worthy.

While they have the standard sections for holidays and births, there is a very large section devoted to dog breeds. There you will find dozens of cross stitch patterns that could be tailored for your own pet.

How To Trust An Etsy Cross Stitch Store

Etsy, like most major online retailers, have a wide variety of businesses that are listed. Some are good and reputable, and some are nefarious and could rip you off.

Make sure that the store has hundreds of reviews that are all almost all positive. A store that says it’s new and has amazing-looking patterns just might be committing copyright fraud or making cheap copies of someone else’s patterns.

Even better, look through their comments and see if anyone has posted a picture of a finished pattern from that store. That will give you an even better idea of what the project will look like when done.
