Cross Stitch Collectibles – Large Full Coverage Cross Stitch Patterns

Spread the love

I have long been a fan of the cross stitch pattern site, Cross Stitch Collectibles. One of the first patterns that I started working on after I had learned the basics of cross stitching was the pattern 1919 New York City Street. I recently filmed a video where I walked through the site online if that’s something you’d like to see.

If you haven’t seen this cross stitch pattern site before, then you’re in for a treat. Cross Stitch Collectibles has one of the largest collections of fine art full coverage cross stitch patterns online!

Massive Selection of Cross Stitch Patterns

All of their patterns call for full cross stitches and are designed for DMC floss. No half stitches or specialty stitches. I like to stitch two-over-one (two pieces of the same color floss over one square on the fabric) on 14 ct Aida but you can modify this if you wish.

Thankfully all the cross stitch patterns can be organized and browsed in a variety of ways:

  • By Subject (Fractal, Landscape, Americana, etc)
  • By Artist
  • By Genre (Naturalist, Abstract, Asian, etc)

I appreciate this level of organization because if I find a subject or artist that I like I can be sure I’m browsing their complete catalog of patterns for that particular category.

I also like that they have a NEW section on the menu where I can quickly check out anything they’ve recently added to the website. For someone like me who has browsed their complete collection, having the ability to just check out the new patterns they’ve added is a time-saver.

Downloadable Patterns

While they have a huge selection of cross stitch patterns that they ship to you as a physical product, there is a sister site that contains all the patterns that they’ve made available in a downloadable PDF format. You can go directly to this part of their website, called ClickNStitch, here.

There are many patterns on the ClickNStitch page that are not on the original site so you should browse this area thoroughly as well.

I must warn you, this is the dangerous part of the site (if there’s a dangerous part of cross stitch). It’s so easy to collect a large number of patterns this way that you will likely end up buying more patterns than you could possibly stitch in a lifetime.

With that said, I say “go for it!” If they’re having a sale on patterns (which they frequently do), it’s a great time to stock up on patterns you want to work on.

These patterns are organized in either an Artist or Subject section. You will get the complete large-print pattern, instruction sheet and floss list. Moreover, you also have the file on your computer (I recommend making a backup copy on a thumb drive if you have several patterns on your computer) so you can print out damaged or lost pages at any time.

Resources Page

There is also a great resources section which includes the following:

  • Fabric calculator (so you can make sure you cut the right size fabric if you like to obtain the fabric for your projects yourself)
  • You can buy a large 59″ x 36″ portion of basic white 18 ct Aida fabric (that’s enough to easily do at least 3 of their projects) as well as a yard of black 14 ct Aida fabric.
  • Access to the DMC Color Chart

Custom Cross Stitch Pattern Chart

Do you have a favorite picture of your family or something else you love? You can have Cross Stitch Collectibles take that picture and create a detailed cross stitch pattern chart for you to stitch!

You can even specify the fabric you would like to work with (14 ct, 18 ct., etc) and they will create the pattern to fit that fabric.

How much does it cost? $35 You can not find a better price or a better pattern design. I highly recommend having these designers complete your custom chart.

Conclusion

If you’re looking to dip your cross stitching toes into the world of full coverage cross stitch, you should check out Cross Stitch Collectibles!! They have one of the largest selections of high-quality patterns anywhere.
