There’s no denying that the current shortage of medical masks and other PPE is a major threat to our healthcare workers locally and around the world. With the Covid-19 pandemic showing no signs of slowing down, we need to get creative with how we fill these shortages.

While industrial companies are gearing up to help, there are things that regular people like you and me can do to help out our local hospitals, health care workers, paramedics, and police officers.

Make Medical Face Masks At Home

There are two choices when it comes to helping out with the mask shortage:

  • Donating any industrial masks you may stored in your own home. While these aren’t perfect, they are being accepted.
  • Handcraft masks at home using household materials

There are different face mask patterns out there on the internet right now and I wanted to present at least a few different ways so that you can do what you’re more comfortable with:
