St. Louis Blues Stanley Cup Champions

Spread the love

For those that may not know, I am a huge St. Louis Blues fan. I’ve only been following the team since about 2013. I love sports, but it took quite a while for me to fall in love with hockey.

When I finally decided that I would pick a team and cheer for them, I looked at a number of teams because I had the hockey package that allowed me to watch everyone.

I eventually chose the Blues because I enjoyed the style of play, they seemed like they had a good group of guys, and I immediately became quite fond of Vladamir Tarasenko as a player and as a person.

Fast forward to this season and I got to make a “pilgrimage” of sorts to St. Louis and Game 4 of the Stanley Cup Finals. Thankfully, it was also the only game that the Blues actually won at home in the series.

I’m a fairly emotional person when it comes to my Blues, and watching them win last night was no exception. My husband captured a 17 minute video of me watching the last few minutes of the game plus the raising of the Cup and everything that went along with it. I will cherish that video forever, but I doubt I will share it. It’s filled with me crying and yelling and there’s quite a few choice words.

That’s it for me for hockey for the season. Back to cross stitching! I do need to find a great Blues cross stitch. I’ve yet to find one. Let me know if you see one you think I might like!
